Cleeve Racing Ten to Follow – 31st October

The first runners from Cleeve Racing's Ten to Follow list are in action tomorrow...

clarcam14.10 Down Royal - Clarcam took really well to fences last season, landing 3 of his 6 starts. He will be sharper for his recent third at Gowran Park where he looked in need of the race.

He has a great chance of landing this with main opposition coming from from Ptit Zig who is having his first run of the season and is the tissue fav, but Clarcam has the advantage of having had a run. Shanahan's Turn is also a danger having won the Galway Plate but ran poorly behind Clarcam last time. We won't be going overboard at this stage of the season but a small interest is advised.

Timeform view - Landed 3 of his 6 chases last term, including Grade 1 at Aintree (20f) in April. Good third of 7 in PWC Champion Chase at Gowran (20f, good) on return 28 days ago and holds leading claims.

The druids nephew14.00 Wetherby - The Druids Nephew was a fast improving handicap chaser last season impressively winning at last year's Cheltenham Festival and going really well until falling in the Grand National. However this looks to be a pipe opener over hurdles and we won't be backing him.

Timeform View - Improved for Neil Mulholland, impressively winning 25f handicap at this year's Cheltenham Festival. Going really well prior to falling in the Grand National, and this may just be a platform.

Best wishes,

The Cleeve team

P.S. today's Cleeve members selection Wakanda; advised e/w at 9/1 wins the 14.15 at Wetherby as 11/4 favourite!
