Well mixed fortunes yesterday with Chancery winning well to bag the spoils in the Coral apprentice handicap.
But our selections in the Coral Sprint Trophy both ran rather disappointingly with the huge gamble landed on Shared Equity never looking like being caught. The story was the same in the Cesarewitch with neither selection ever being involved in the race. Nice to see Grumeti win though at a juicy 50/1 and we have backed him over hurdles in the past.
Still a small profit on the day so no damage done. Onwards and upwards and we have selections in two races over in Ireland at the Curragh and Limerick

The top of the market horses have dominated this race over the past 10 years even with an outsider winning in 2014 there have been 5 winning Favourites.
Both fancied and in form horses St Cartage and Western Boy would prefer softer ground. We were tempted by David Pipes free running Alternatif who missed out on the English version and lines up here instead but we have decided to side with the 2014 Cheltenham Bumper winner Silver Concorde off a big weight when beating Shaneshill
Shaneshill exacted his revenge in the Punchestown Champion Bumper but there was just 2 lengths separating them. Shaneshill went on to finish 2nd to Douvan over hurdles in the Neptune Novices Hurdle and rated 153 over hurdles.
Silver Concorde missed the festivals over hurdles but turned out at Killarney in July for a hard fought win.
That was on soft ground and the key to this horse is good ground. He loves good ground and gets it tomorrow. In affect this flat race might be a handicap but is very similar to bumpers and Silver Concorde was a star in the sphere. He looks a great each way bet at 10/1 with 5 places on offer coming from the dynamic team due of Weld and Smullen.
15:45 Limerick - 3m class Ladbrokes Munster National Handicap Chase (Grade A) (4yo plus)
Urano threw away the Kerry National last time out when pulling up in front having jumped the last sure to go on and win. He is quirky and the application of first time cheekpieces is a big plus
Urano is a pound better off with the Kerry National winner Rogue Angel but we have no doubts that the better horse that day was Urano.
Ruby Walsh switches to Urano from The Paparrazi Kid and that is a tip in itself.
Urano was kept wide at Listowel on the heavy ground so will much more at home on the yielding ground at Limerick.
We are surprised that he is not favourite and if none the worse for his Kerry National exertions should be bang there.
