Cleeve members selections – Sunday 10th September

Hi everyone,

There some bizarre weather today with massive downpours interspersed with bright sunshine and even different conditions on different parts of some courses.
We had mixed fortunes to give us a very small loss on the day which is frustrating after all the hard work we put in.
Due to time constraints and family commitments tonight we will do a full recap of todays runners on Monday

Good luck

The team at Cleeve

Don’t Touch 2 points to win at 6/1

Race Analysis:

Cleeve Top 3 Rated:
1) Lancelot Du Lac – 83
2) Don’t Touch – 80
3) Spiritual Lady – 76

Race analysis:
Spiritual Lady gets in on a low weight due to her age and has won three from four starts. I do think she does have a chance here but her 317 days off the track put me off. The stable is in great form and Spiritual Lady can give our selection most to do.

Lancelot Du Lac won the Steward’s Cup on soft ground and that was his best performance on turf. The horse up until then had looked to be better on all weather surfaces, but he was most impressive when winning at Goodwood. I was put off his chances by the stable form which is colder than Peter Andre walking round Iceland.

Don’t Touch is a bit of a risk as he has not impressed this season yet, but finished just over a length behind The Tin Man in the Group 1 sprint on Champions Day in October. Any return to form and he should win this so I have gone for win only, as I am banking on him being back on form.
