Royal Ascot was a gruelling 5 days, to say the least.
Yesterday was a profitable day giving us just under 7 points profit but it wasn't enough to get us back into the black for the whole meeting.
We came out only slightly behind overall, frustratingly with 7 placed selections any one of which winning would have put us in profit. We will not be making any excuses and we just have to take things as they are.
We will be giving a full round-up of the 5 days in the weekly round up, warts and all.
We have a selection for tomorrow at Ayr and lets hope we can recoup the week's losses.

4.15 Ayr 5f EBF Land O'Burns Fillies' Stakes (Listed Race) (Class 1) (3yo+)
Cleeve Top 3 Rated:
1) Que Amoro – 117
2) Mrs Bouquet – 115
3) Queens Gift – 111
Que Amoro and Queens Gift are both ahead of Mrs Bouquet in the market and both set a decent standard.
Queens Gift drops down from a Group 3 last time and prior to that had finished second in back to back Listed races. She tends to start slowly, and this race could be over before she gets going at the end of the race. Queens Gift will come with a run and is likely to end up in the places again.
Que Amoro was second in a hot Listed contest last time here in September having won back to back sprints at York including a decent, big field Class 2. She went up eighteen pounds for those two wins and may need to drop back down the weights before winning again.
Both Que Amoro and Queens Gift must give Mrs Bouquet six pounds and I think if Mrs Bouquet can get a good start over this fast five furlongs, she will be awfully hard to catch. The key to this race is the start and if Mrs Bouquet gets a lead and is more like her old self after a disappointing reappearance over 6 furlongs then she will win this at a very generous price. Both her rivals are trained by Michael Dods, whose stable is going through an arctic spell presently (1-38 in last 14 days), whereas Mark Johnston has his runners in decent form (20-136).
I have gone for a win bet instead of each way as if Mrs Bouquet is on song I think she will win, but if she runs as she did on her reappearance I do not think she will place and will not be put under too much pressure.
5.50 Ayr 1m2f Jordan Electrics Handicap (Class 2) (4yo+ 0-100)
Cleeve Top 3 Rated:
1) Star Of Southwold – 85
2) Sandret – 83
3) Tinandali – 82
This looks competitive and the ratings suggest it is going to be a close call, so a race best watched. There are about five runners with a chance in this, so no bet.
