Hi there,

Well we couldn't continue with our winning run and had to swallow a 5 point loss today. We will give a full run down of today's tips in our weekly review but as it's quite late in the day we want to get tomorrow's selections asap. Hopefully we can get back on track and we have just the one selection at Newbury but have also had a look at some cracking action in Ireland...

Good luck
The team at Cleeve

1.50 Newbury 2m4½f (2m4f118y) Betway Heed Your Hunch Handicap Hurdle (Class 2) (4yo+)

Selections:

Soul Emotion - 1 point ew at 10/1 with Betfair and Paddypower (4 places)

Race Analysis:

Cleeve Top 3 Rated:
1) Soul Emotion – 110
2) Colonial Dreams – 96
2) Severano – 96

Race analysis:
Severano has won over course and distance on his latest start and has gone up four pounds as a result. The weight rise seems fair, but the rise in class will ask a lot of questions of him. The stable is in good form and he is the biggest challenger to our selection.

Colonial Dreams needs to cope with a seven pounds rise in the weights but was very impressive when winning at Sandown last time. The ground is an ask, although his action suggests he can cope with anything. He has a second in a Grade 2, so obviously has talent but this could stretch his stamina after being off course since April.

Soul Emotion is from the Henderson stable like Colonial Dreams and has dropped three pounds after disappointing on seasonal debut after almost a year off. He does have a lot of talent, but has had breathing issues; however, I think he has potential to win this and could make a mockery of his odds.

2.00 Leopardstown 3m Frank Ward Memorial Hurdle (Grade 1) (4yo+)

Selections:

No bet

Race Analysis:

Cleeve Top 3 Rated:
1) Apple’s Jade – 68
2) Unowhatimeanharry – 61
3) Bacardys – 58
3) Penhill – 58

Race analysis:
Apple’s Jade is seeking a hat trick in this race and is reasonable value, but Bacardys has beaten her twice already this season so a turnover is a big possibility again. Penhill is an enigma and is most tempting at the prices. A great race to watch but no bet. No Bet.

3.00 Newbury 2m4½f (2m4f118y) Betway Challow Novices' Hurdle (Grade 1) (Class 1) (4yo+) Selection: No Bet

Selections:

No bet

Race Analysis:

Cleeve Top 3 Rated:
1) Thyme Hill – 46
2) Enrilo – 43
3) Éclair Surf – 42

Race analysis:
The ground may be limiting field sizes for these valuable prizes, but it’s a race worth watching if not one to bet in. No Bet.

3.10 Leopardstown 3m Savills Chase (Grade 1) (5yo+)

Selections:

No bet

Race Analysis:

Cleeve Top 3 Rated:
1) Kemboy – 84
2) Bellshill – 74
3) Presenting Percy – 70

Race analysis:
Kemboy, if fully fit should win this and it will bring a welcome relief to the new syndicate after the Supreme Racing debacle. If Kemboy is not fully fit, then Presenting Percy can take advantage. No Bet.
