Highlight of the week

No surprises here it has to be Liberty Beach who gave us our first winner of the season, she also won twice for us last year and is a good 'friend' of Cleeve! She was well-backed all day and went off as 9/4 favourite, half the price available the night before.

Low point of the week

The fact that racing is back completely outweighs any disappointing runs by our selections, so we are not going to dwell on those.

We knew that disrupted training routines and race planning would mean that form lines would be a bit 'spotty'  which means we'll just take it on the chin.

Weekly Overview

Welcome to this weeks review of Cleeve Racing's member tips last week. And don't forget all of our tips are free for the whole of June so if you want to come onboard just sign up at the bottom of this page... all you need is your email address.

The overriding feeling we had last week was one of relief that racing restarted and the fact that it seemed to go without a hitch gives us hope that the season can be completed without further interruption.

We didn't get back into action until Newmarket on Friday and had 6 bets over three days resulting in one winner and a 2.5 point loss. Friday and Saturday were damp squibs with our 3 selections not troubling the judge, but Sunday was much more like it with a winner, 2nd and 4th.

As members know we always start our selections process with an algorithm that number crunches 12 data points to shortlist every runner in the field.

Last week we analysed a total of 66 races and our top 3 rated gave 13 winners and 26 places... a win/place strike rate of 59%.

Our form team get the ratings and have to assess variable factors that relate to race conditions and value in early betting markets... so won't necessarily go for our top-rated, but if the ratings are consistently close... so is consistent profit.
