Introduction to Cleeve Racing
Cleeve Racing is a well-established horse racing tipping service with over 8 years of unbroken success. We use an analytical and form-based approach based on a combination of our own unique ratings and expert analysis. We have made a profit in every year and every season since we went public in 2011.
A selective approach, what races we focus on.
There is far too much racing and it is impossible to keep on top of it all, you must have a focus to be successful. Cleeve specialises in Class 2 and above races as we believe the form is more robust and stands up well. We do not listen to or take into account any stable talk or inside information. Our selective approach means that we do not have bets every day unless there are high-class meetings such as Royal Ascot, Glorious Goodwood or The Cheltenham Festival. This tipping strategy means we can spend more time analysing fewer races, identifying suitable betting opportunities for our members and telling them when to have a bet... and just as importantly, when not to bet. We average 5-8 bets a week at an SP around 10/1.
Custom race ratings and expert analysis
Over many years we have developed our own unique ratings system. This uses 12 individual form factors that are then crunched through our unique algorithm rating every runner in the field. Our form team then perform further analysis that takes more variable factors into consideration such as trainer and jockey form, track configuration, shape of the race, where the pace of the race is and many more factors. Analysis of this depth takes many hours per race but gives us a consistent win/place strike rate of 30%+ for our tips.
Race analysis and tips - how we present the selections
Cleeve Racing gives all members a comprehensive write up of each tip we provide. We give an analysis of the major contenders in each race. We then give an in-depth analysis of why we are recommending the selection and what the main dangers are. We advise where to find the best odds and place concessions, and use a simple staking plan based on a points-based system that indicates the strength of the bet. To the right is an example of one of our write-ups.
Our approach to value and minimum odds
We have strict criteria regarding value and prices. We will do not tip horses below 2/1 as we feel that backing short priced favourites is not the way to generate consistent long-term profits. Our tips during the 2019 Flat Season have averaged an SP just over 10/1, and critically important for most of our members who suffer from restricted accounts, we are profitable to Betfair SP.
Honesty and Transparency - all results published, weekly tips review
Cleeve operates on the basis of openness and full transparency. We publish our results on the website, the good, the bad and the ugly for all to see. We never over hype the winners and don't hide the losers. We also report back on previous selections in the introduction to the selections post, this is further expanded upon in our Weekly Review which also includes the weeks number of runners, strike rate, weekly P+L and month to date P+L
Independent Proofing - crucial to building trust
Publishing results is all well and good but how can people trust them? We use extensive proofing by independent third-parties such as Geegeez, Smart Betting Club, Goal Profits and Cashmaster. These receive every member tip we give (in advance) over a 6-12 month period, they then produce detailed analysis on how we have performed and whether we are profitable in the long term.
We have recently been voted into Smart Betting Club's 'Hall of Fame' and won the 'Oscar' for best race tipping service from LB&GR members. Geegeez said we are probably the best tipping service in the UK and we have had similar glowing reports. We are also validated on TrustPilot where we are rated 'EXCELLENT'. Trustpilot which is the UK's No1 review site for all sectors not just for racing. It is a truly independent platform and Cleeve have no access to the reviews… they are 100% reliable.
