Racing suspended until the end of April

Racing Suspended

Hi everyone,
as you will probably be aware the British Horse Racing Board have officially suspended all horse racing in the UK until the end of April. This may well get extended as the situation with the Covid 19 virus unfolds.

Here is the statement from the BHB

We were sceptical and not all surprised that racing could go ahead behind closed doors with stable staff and Jockeys having to travel all over the country and work in close proximity. Also, nearly every other sport has been suspended so it would seem strange for racing to continue.

This will have a massive effect on the industry and there may well be redundancies and trainers going out of business. We fully understand this as we as a small business rely on racing for our livelihood and this will be a massive blow to us as a company. We have fixed ongoing costs we still have to meet but we are confident we will survive as we have already taken measures to cut the costs we can and mothball all ongoing projects.

We are cognisant of everyone's situation and understand that you will all have family priorities both in terms of health and finances. To this end, we will be putting everyone's membership on hold so you will not be charged any ongoing membership fees as we feel this is the right thing to do.

We wish you all well over the coming weeks and try to stay safe and healthy and we will hopefully be back in action sooner rather than later

Stay healthy
