Highlight of the week
It was nice to get the first eyecatcher winner under our belt at a great value price of 9/1, and the fact he managed to turn over a 4/11 fav (albeit he's obviously a complete dodgepot) made it even sweeter!
Low point of the week
After very strong market suppport I was expecting a much better run from Waarif on Friday who was plain disappointing...
Another good week for members with a nice profit of 14.25 points which should pretty much mean that we will close July as a profitable month. We also tiptoed over the £1,000 profit for the season so far, but won't be counting those chickens quite yet as there's still a long way to go. We hit 2 winners and a place from our 6 selections over the week giving us a 50% strike rate. Air Raid was always going well and ran out a comfortable of the Scottish Stewards Cup, he is still improving on this evidence. Withhold showed great guts and determination to make all at Newbury after a 269-day break and breathing operation and will be a danger to all in the big staying handicaps later in the season if the handicapper doesn't raise him out of it... otherwise, it's Stradivarius and co! Cliffs of Capri never looked like winning but stuck on gamely for 3rd place. Waarif was I said earlier was plain disappointing as was Snazzy Jazzy and Alexana never got involved but was quite speculative anyway and a minimum stake bet.
Our Eyecatcher service got into profit at the second time of asking with a nice 9/1 winner and now we've added an email alert for members as part of the normal service we hope that you were on, and if you're not a member but use your own tracker we hope you were on too...
We've got a busier week ahead with 14 races going under the Cleeve microscope then the following week we hit full revs with 5 days of Glorious Goodwood
