3 Horses to follow – w/e 14th August

Rex Imperetor
Rex Imperator (7-y-o) - Trainer: David O’Meara

After a trio of third placed finishes the horse looks primed and ready to bag a race sooner rather than later. He put in a  decent effort on his last start at Ripon when going off as favourite, he flew home when finally finding space and with a few more strides would’ve undoubtedly picked up a victory. The David O’Meara yard are starting to hit a bit of form and with better luck in running the horse can get his head in front soon.

Back the horse with the following conditions:
Race Type: handicap

Ground: good or firmer
Distance: 6 - 7 furlongs

Cranford Belle
Canford Belle (3-y-o) - Trainer: Grant Tuer

A fifth placed finish at Catterick last Friday when flying home from a disadvantageous position after having to navigate around the whole field was mightily eye catching from this three year old filly. She sits only one pound higher than her last winning mark and looked to improve for the step up to seven furlongs. The horse will have learnt a lot from that and may have found her ideal trip. Definitely one to note in handicap company.

Chella Thriller
Chella Thriller (7-y-o) - Trainer: Ralph Smith

Travelled pretty well in a race at Kempton on Saturday but missed it's chance with a poor start to the race. Despite trailing the field for the majority of the race the horse still had enough to close down the field and finish in fourth. If getting a better break when racing next time is bound to be nearer and if Silvestre De Sousa is booked for the ride again then that’ll also be a promising nod that the horse is ready to win. Now sitting at a winning handicap mark it has to be in with a decent chance.

Back the horse with the following conditions:
Race Type: handicap

Ground: good to firm, firm or AW
Distance: 9 - 11 furlongs
